The basis on which we quote, confirm and deliver events.
Last updated: 9 August 2026
These terms apply to services provided by The Mixologist ZW(“we”, “us”) to a client (“you”). They apply alongside any written quote or event agreement, which takes precedence where the two differ.
Submitting an enquiry does not create a booking. We will issue a written quote based on the information you provide. Quotes are valid for the period stated on them and are based on the guest count, duration, location and inclusions agreed at the time.
A booking is confirmed only when the agreed deposit has been received and we have acknowledged it in writing. Dates are not held on the strength of a verbal or provisional arrangement.
A deposit is payable to confirm the date, with the balance due before the event unless otherwise agreed in writing. Any additional services requested on the day — extra hours, additional guests, extra bartenders — are invoiced after the event.
Please tell us as early as possible about any change to your date, venue, guest count or requirements, and we will do our best to accommodate it. Cancellation terms, including whether a deposit is refundable or transferable, are set out in your quote or event agreement.
Final guest numbers must be confirmed by the date stated in your quote. Quantities, staffing and pricing are based on that figure. A significant increase on the day may affect service levels and will be charged.
You are responsible for ensuring we have access to the venue at the agreed set-up time, together with a suitable, level, sheltered space for the bar and access to water and power where required. Delays caused by access problems may reduce service time.
We serve responsibly. We may decline service to any guest who appears intoxicated or who cannot provide proof of age where required, and we may refuse service where continuing would be unsafe. Non-alcoholic options are always available. Where you supply the alcohol, you are responsible for obtaining it lawfully and for any licence the venue or event requires.
We take care of your venue and equipment. You remain responsible for the conduct of your guests and for any damage they cause, including to our equipment or hired glassware. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including weather, power failure, road closures or venue restrictions.
Please tell us about allergies and dietary requirements in advance. We will take reasonable steps to accommodate them, but we work in shared environments and cannot guarantee an absence of cross-contact.
We may photograph our own bar set-ups and drinks for portfolio use. We will not publish identifiable images of your guests without permission, and you can ask us not to take photographs at your event.
Recipes, menus and content we create remain ours unless the agreement for bespoke development says otherwise. Website content may not be reproduced without permission.
